Construction crewmembers poured concrete here Nov. 13 for footings that will help support the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's new dormitory and classroom facility.
Crews began pouring footings for a 17-foot retaining wall after digging and removing more than 8,000 cubic yards of soil from a hillside. Officials said that the current weather conditions require the concrete to set for at least a week before the crew can continue building the wall.
The TEC broke ground August 14 for the 46,871 square-foot mixed-use facility.
